PRODUCT USE
Bionemagon is a biological nematicide based on a selected strain of naturally-occurring ematopathogenic soil bacteria Bacillus firmus (NCIM 2637) that infects and kills both larvae and adult stage of many plant pathogenic nematodes like Meloidogyne spp, Hetrodera spp, Helicotylenchus spp, Hoplolaimus spp.
MODE OF ACTION
- Secretes metabolites, enzymes and organic acids that have Bio-nematicidal properties.
- Colonizes and absorbs maximum nutrients available at the target site and thereby controls the nematodes by competing and starving them for food.
- Produces secondary metabolites and toxins that are toxic to nematode species which aid in killing it.

Paecilo is a biological nematicide based on a selected strain of naturally-occurring fungus Paecilomyces lilacinus that infects and kills eggs, larvae and adult stage of many plant pathogenic nematodes like root knot nematodes, cyst nematodes remiform nematode, burrowing nematode , citrus nematode , golden cyst nematode and lesion nematodes
PRODUCT USE
Paecilo contains spores and mycelial fragments of Paecilomyces lilacinus. It is formulated as Powder with CFU count of 1 X 10 ^ 8 /
MODE OF ACTION
- Paecilomyces lilacinus on getting attached to the host forms a dense mycelium that gives rise to conidiophores. The fungus produces an appressorium which marks the start of invasion of insect. The appressorium produces a penetration peg that enters the external skin (cuticle) of the host. The fungus produces hyphae inside insect body which proliferate and start feeding on insect’s internal contents.
- Paecilomyces lilacinus produces proteases and chitinase enzymes that weakens nematodes so as to enable a narrow infection peg to be established and push through the insect’s exterior and pathogenise it from within, that weaken the nematodes and then gets inside the insect and kills the infected nematode.
- Once inside, Paecilo replicates and consumes the nematodes' internal organs and blood-like fluid, the hemolymph eventually killing it.
